Hi, I’m Suzie Carrig, Chief Taster and Talespinner at NZ Spirit Guide. We’re not about the woo woo, we’re about the Woo Hoo!

NZ Spirit Guide is your one-stop destination to educate, buy, and review all New Zealand spirits. I started my journey during lockdown, when I discovered the fastest way to get a good bottle was ordering direct from distilleries. My feed quickly filled with incredible NZ gins, but choosing my next bottle became impossible - so I launched a gin subscription. Five years later, the industry has exploded beyond gin, and I’ve created the NZ Spirit Guide to bring it all together in one place.

Our platform makes it easy to buy direct from distilleries, support local producers, and explore the incredible diversity of NZ-made spirits. We champion “Buy Local, Support Local, Be Green – Drink Local.”

I also host Tales from the Top Shelf, a radio show and podcast dedicated to sharing the stories behind the distilleries, the spirits, and the passionate people who craft them.
