Hi, I'm Martin Steel-Brown, owner and head designer of City Botanics. City Botanics is a landscape design and installation studio reimagining how nature fits into small urban spaces.

Based in Hobsonville, we specialise in transforming balconies, courtyards, and compact gardens into lush, liveable sanctuaries.

Our design ethos is simple: bold ideas, practical execution, and a deep respect for nature’s rhythms. We believe great outdoor spaces shouldn’t be reserved for those with sprawling lawns — they should thrive in the heart of the city, no matter the size.
