Franklin Hospice is a community-based charitable trust in Pukekohe, Auckland, providing free specialist in-home palliative care, counselling, social and emotional support to patients with life limiting illnesses and their whānau.

Franklin Hospice relies on a small clinical team and volunteers to deliver this 24/7 service . Because only about half of its operating expenses are covered by government funding, fundraising—through donations, bequests, events, retail shop sales, and volunteer-led initiatives—is essential to fill the gap, ensuring quality care remains free to those in need.

Alison is a passionate fundraiser for the Franklin Hospice cause. With a diverse background across multiple sectors and not-for-profit organisations, she brings strong organisational skills, creative thinking, and valuable life experience to her role as Fundraising Manager.
